Nelson followed St. Elmo's Fire (1985) and The Breakfast Club with From the Hip (1987), New Jack City (1991) and Billionaire Boys Club (2018). He acted opposite Brooke Shields for three seasons on the TV sitcom Suddenly Susan and scored a recurring role on Empire.

After starring in The Outsiders (1983), The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire, Estevez found continued success with movies like Stakeout (1987), Young Guns (1988), The Mighty Ducks (1992) and their respective sequels.

Estevez wrote, directed and acted in The Way (2010), which starred his father Martin Sheen, and The Public (2018) — one that featured an ensemble cast including Alec Baldwin, Christian Slater and more.

He also reprised his role as Coach Bombay in the first season of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers in 2021, but was replaced by Josh Duhamel (playing Coach Cole) for season 2.

The actor had a relationship with Brat Pack member Demi Moore from 1984 to 1986. Estevez then married Paula Abdul in April 1992, but they divorced just over two years later. He has two adult children from another relationship with former model Carey Salley.

Andrew McCarthy

McCarthy became an '80s movie all-star, acting in Pretty in Pink, Mannequin (1987), Less Than Zero (1987) and Weekend at Bernie's (1989). The actor has been primarily directing, helming episodes of Orange Is the New Black, The Blacklist and more. However, McCarthy still appears on screen, as he joined the main cast of The Resident during its sixth season.

In 2021, McCarthy released his memoir, Brat: An '80s Story, which discusses his time in the group. "I recoiled from [the Brat Pack]. The term was cast in a very pejorative way," he told PEOPLE. "And the last thing you want in Hollywood is to be boxed in."

He split from college sweetheart Carol Schneider, with whom he has one son, in 2005, and married his second wife, Dolores Rice, in 2011; together, they have two kids.
