It's a universal truth that baby shoes are THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD. We pick them up in the shops and marvel at their tininess with squeals of "just look how schmalllllll". Miniature slippers will make us broody while a tiny pair of Converse will send us positively over the edge.
Well, when we found out that baby footwear had been given a high fashion upgrade courtesy of Chrisitan Louboutin, we were half concerned, half intrigued. Will they be dressing our babies in severe, 4-inch pointed power heels? A blood red sole perhaps?
PHEW, because Louboutin's debut baby shoe line - adorably named Loubibaby - is still very baby but also very chic.
The debut collection features satin Mary Janes that come in blue, pink and red and feature a bow on the side. There's also a gold Nappa Laminato variety for the more jazzy babies out there.
So cute we could eat them.
The collection will launch on Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle site Goop on November 16, making the perfect Christmas gift idea for any mums to be.
Costing $250 (£188), they're expensive for a shoe your baby will grow out of in three months, sure, but we go back to our first point: CUTEEEEEE.
“I remember the first conversation which led us to the collaboration,” said Louboutin of the partenership. “There is nothing that I favour more than a good tête-à-tête, and for that, Gwyneth is a great partner in crime. When friendship meets work, the results are serious fun.”
But the big question is will they feature Louboutin's signature red sole? Well of COURSE!
Your baby is about to out-sass all the other babies. 💅
